Diving Tour for Catalina Islands – Islas Catalinas
Isla Catalinas (Catalina Island) offers a great opportunity to swim with the Pacific giant mantas as well as huge schools of fish and sharks. Dolphins, humpback whales, and orcas are seen very frequent during the Catalina Island trips. Usually on the way up or back. Diving here is suited for certified open water divers with some experience. This is because the dives might have some strong currents. If you’re not sure if your diving experience is enough, please feel free to contact us.
The islands are also known as the “Cats”. We have been diving here since 1993. Our expertise about the environment, the conditions, and the tips & tricks is unique.
Rich Coast Diving offers PADI professionals to guide your tour. As well as all the required equipment to make this an exciting and safe dive. So whatever equipment you can’t bring on the plane, we’ll have a full Scubapro line of equipment to rent you.
The Catalina Island
We offer the Catalina Island (Isla Catalinas) Tour from November to May. This tour offers a great opportunity to dive with Pacific Giant Mantas, huge schools of fish, several species of sharks and other rays, and much more! The boat ride is about one hour long and includes two tanks of diving (minimum of four divers to create a trip). We also offer the option to add a third tank to the trip (includes a homemade lunch during the surface interval). Although peak manta season in Catalina is from November until May, we are able to organize dive trips to the islands year-round – the sites provide loads of marine life and stunning topography. Most of the divers who have joined us on the Catalina Island Tours told us that it was amongst the most beautiful dive sites to which they have ever been!
